Bodhidharma Comic
This comic strip series was created several years ago and is set in the famous Shaolin Monastery in China. The legendary figure of Bodhidharma is considered the founder of Shaolin Kung Fu and Chan Buddhism (Japanese Zen Buddhism). Most of the stories are based on Zen koans (traditional anecdotes about encounters between Zen masters and their disciples) or the philosophy behind them.
To make the comic a little more light-hearted, I created the character of the little novice Nei-Dao.

My book ‘ZEN – weil es glücklich macht’ (ZEN – because it makes you happy) was published in 2009.
In addition to a simple introduction to Zen Buddhism and Shodo, it contains many Zen sayings with explanations. Each saying is also written in Sosho and illustrated with a casual ink painting.
